1. Steam clean your couch

As a dirty couch can be unattractive and dull. And steam cleaning can give a newly fresh-look to the couch. Steam cleaning in regular periods lasts long, as well as disinfects your couch. Make sure there is nothing on the couch. Remove any toy, pens, or any useful item. Remove the cushions too. You have to clear the couch completely.

Now it’s time to clean the couch from any loose dirt. There shouldn’t be any debris. All dust, pet hairs should be removed. Use a vacuum cleaner. Clean the area where the cushions were. Use the hose to clean the corners properly.

Now use a pretreatment stain remover at a small quantity. Spray it and wait for a minute. In microfiber couches scrubbing works the best. So to make the solution work on the fibres, take a scrubber or a cloth and scrub well on the spot.

- Double-check the manufacturer code. Only proceed if it shows “W” or “S-W”.
- Pour hot water into the carpet shampooer. Then add 3 OZ. carpet detergent.
- Switch the recovery-tank off, sliding the front-panel up. Snap the hose-connector of upholstery wand-attachment in the front-panel of the recovery-tank.
- Now you can turn the shampooer on. You need to press the nozzle into the couch. Then pull the trigger. Move the upholstery attachment nozzle toward you. No need to rush, do it slowly. Don’t let the nozzle streak the fabric. Then leave the trigger, pass the nozzle removing the shampoo.
- Don’t forget the corners, as those are the most important parts. Put the nozzle on creases, shampoo them. Then let go of the trigger and make the nozzle run to remove the shampoo properly.
- Repeat the process on the places having heavy dirt. Try different passing patterns in those areas.
